Mrs. Johnson's 4th grade Looping Class
Hello All!
We are so excited about the new year! The children have not yet settled in but seem to be making progress. We have talked about being a classroom family for the next two years. I am pleased to have each of you with me and hope you are equally as happy. We are reading a story about responsibility in "A Visit with Grandpa"; Math has started with place value, Science with plant and animal cells, and in Language we will learn how to identify the 4 types of sentences. We will work hard to get everything completed in class but if not, they will be allowed to take it home to finish and I know that you will help. We will talk again soon.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
I live in Cascilla, Mississippi in an old planter's home built in 1872. My husband is Tom Johnson and he has a hardwood floor business. I have two children and five grand children. I attend church at Cascilla Baptist Church where I am the social director.
This past year I completed the process to become Nationally Board Certified.
CLASSROOM PHILOSOPHY
I believe that all children are unique and yet so very much alike. Teaching takes place in many different ways and settings. Your child will be a part of this process for the next two years.
