Welcome!!
I am so excited to have your child in my room again this year! They are all such great kids and together they make one outstanding class! Just a few reminders.
- The students will bring home signed papers every Tuesday to be signed and returned on Wednesday.
- Accelerated Reader points- The students are encouraged to earn at least 15 AR points per nine weeks. In reaching their goal they will receive bonus points toward their reading grade for that nine weeks period.
- Discovery Lab is every other Thursday form 10:30-11:45.
- Activity is from 11:00-11:45 everyday. This is also a time that you can have parent conferences scheduled.
- Tests are scheduled randomly, however I will also make sure the students have at least a 2 day notice on test. However, I do give out pop quizzes occasionally.
Spelling homework (Every week)
- Monday- Write spelling words 5 times each.
- Tuesday- Write a sentence using each spelling word.
- Wednesday- Write spelling words in ABC order.
- Thursday- Study for spelling test.
- Friday- SPELLING TEST
ARMSTRONG AWARDS
I am sure your students have told you about our new good behavior reward system. The students can earn coins throughout the week and on Friday the students my then shop at the ARMSTRONG AWARDS store to purchase little prizes. Prizes include bracelets, rings, balls, bookmarks, lollipops, jump ropes, frisbee, and mini fans. These are some ways students can earn coins.
- 100 on test including AR.
- Good Behavior.
- Student of the week.
- Box top handout completed.
- Random acts of kindness.
I think we have had a great year so far and know that it will only get even better!!
