Veterans' Day at GUES

4th Annual Veterans Day Mini-Float Parade at

On November 11, Grenada Upper Elementary students and staff will participate in a celebration of our real life heroes - OUR VETERANS.  The staff and students invite everyone to join us on Tuesday for our 4th Annual Veterans Day Mini-Float Parade.  The welcoming ceremony will begin around  9:00 with the parade following.  We want a huge turnout of support for our veterans.

  Come and help us honor those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. On Monday, the students will write thank you letters to veterans they know and/or a veteran.  These letters will be passed out to our honored Veterans on the day of the parade.  The students will also decorate the halls so our honored guests will know they are remembered.  Again, we ask that you join us in this small act of "Honoring All Who Served".

Grenada Upper Elementary enjoys celebrating Veteran's Day.  Each year the teachers work hard to complete activities in class to honor our Veterans.  We complete the week with a Mini-Float Parade.  Classes prepare floats and signs for community veterans, family and friends.
